“Art communicates things there are no words for; thoughts, feelings, and struggles. It expresses ideas bigger than itself. My life is undergoing many changes, and my body of work changes with it. Initially, it explored the struggles of anxiety and my experience navigating the world through that lens. Now, it explores the grief and loss in healing and the love and growth that come alongside it. Typically using myself as a reference in my work, mining my lived experiences, I work in a variety of mediums, favoring acrylic paint. Art is my voice when words are not enough; I do not know what I would do if not create.”
